“Advancing Excellence in Palliative Medicine Education and Practice”

In developing countries like India, there is a growing need for well-educated and aware staff to provide palliative care. However, despite the availability of short and long palliative care training programs, there is still a lack of awareness and sensitivity among healthcare providers. This has led to poor quality of life, higher healthcare costs, and inappropriate treatment at the end of life. To address this, there is a pressing need for mass palliative care sensitisation of healthcare providers. The Academy of Palliative Medicine (APM) was established to address this need.
